Hi Brad, when you tap/click the Edit button the Title field should appear as shown in the screenshot below, which you can edit.

Does that answer your question, or did I misunderstand your question?

Aha… I see. I was confused by the title showing above the fields, and was expecting to be able to edit that title. That does what I was hoping.

    Good feedback, thanks.

I've added some code to the Mac version to help with this: when clicking the Title (header) in Edit mode pwSafe will automatically change focus to the editable Title field, which will highlight the existing text.

Will be included in the next update.

Couldn’t the original postor use the Keep Password History feature to accomplish the desired goal?

Excellent suggestion, that would completely avoid the hassle of changing the entry's title.

I access my .psafe3 file from multiple computers and clients, so the history feature in just one client on one computer doesn't actually help me. I've also done this rotation procedure since long before I ever used pwSafe and I'm just used to it.

Plus, as stated at the top, some of my rotation procedures on employer systems are complicated and require me to have both the old and new password available concurrently for a time.

Whatever works best for you, there are multiple ways, and if this one works for you then I'd recommend keep doing it that way 😄

The password history is stored inside the safe btw, so it is not client-bound. You can try it out on a test entry, just enable the password history on that entry, make a few changes and see how the history nicely synchronizes with your safe to other clients.
