Add option to confirm entry deletion
CompletedI'm using pwSafe 10.4.0 on MacOS 14.6.1. I recently hit my backspace key thinking the keyboard focus was on a different program but it was actually focused on the pwsafe program. This, unfortunately, deleted whatever pwsafe entry was highlighted. Possible helpful solutions: 1) add an option to force the user to confirm entry deletions, 2) Add an “Undelete Entry” command, 3) remove the backspace key shortcut. I think any of these would be a terrific new feature.

Hi Douglas,
I agree that option 1 would be a valuable addition, I'll try to squeeze that into the next update. I think the iOS version would benefit from a similar option too.
The Undelete is already available, see screenshot below. Keyboard shortcut Cmd-Z should work too.
Does your version have this option?

Richard,
Thanks for pointing out the Undo Delete Entry command. I did not see that before because, after I mistakenly deleted the entry, I typed something in the search box, which changed the Undo Delete Entry command into a Undo Typing command, so I assumed that the Undo Delete Entry command did not exist. After testing I do see that the Undo Delete Entry command shows up when I delete an entry and before I start typing.
Not sure how useful being able to undo typing in the search box is. It might be more intuitive if search box typing is not included in the Undo stack.
Thanks for all you do. I've enjoyed using pwSafe for decades and this is the first time I've had a problem with it.

You are welcome. I've just added this to the Mac codebase, so this will be in the next update.
Here's a screenshot of the development version:
