pwSafe for macOS version 11.1.8 introduces a new accessibility feature: users can now toggle password visibility while unlocking their safe. This "eye" icon, familiar from the iOS version, allows users (especially those with visual impairments) to see their password as they type it.
How to Use:
- On the password entry dialog, click the eye icon to reveal or hide your password as you type.
- This feature is available starting with pwSafe for macOS version 11.1.8.
Background:
Previously, password visibility when unlocking was only available on iOS. Based on user feedback—highlighting accessibility and error reduction for visually impaired users—this option was added for macOS desktop users as of version 11.1.8.
Alternative accessibility: If your Mac supports Touch ID, it can be enabled via the Safe menu for easier unlocking.
