If you want to store your pwSafe safes on a Synology or other network drive instead of iCloud Drive or Dropbox, you can use the "external" safe option in pwSafe. This is useful if you can access your network drive through the Files app on your device.
- To open a safe stored on your Synology or network drive, tap the '+' at the bottom right of the pwSafe app and select 'Open External Safe'.
- The safe will not appear on the home screen of pwSafe, and AutoFill within Safari will not work with external safes.
- If you use only Apple devices, iCloud Drive is recommended for better integration and features.
This method allows you to access your safe files stored on a network drive, but with some limitations compared to cloud services like iCloud Drive or Dropbox.
