After updating pwSafe on macOS to version 10.x, users may encounter a password prompt reading:
pwSafe wants to use your confidential information stored in "CloudManager Service" in your keychain. To allow this, enter the "login" keychain password.
This prompt is presented by macOS because the developer certificate changed for the 10.0 release. This prompt is needed to re-authorize pwSafe to access the keychain entries created by the previous release. Note that this authorization is limited to pwSafe's own keychain entries.
Just enter your Mac login password and click "Always Allow". If the dialog reappears, continue entering the correct password and clicking "Always Allow" until the process completes successfully. This behavior is due to macOS's interface, and persistence is key.
What is the keychain used for?
pwSafe does not store any of your entries in the keychain, these are stored exclusively in your own pwSafe database. The keychain is used to store other sensitive data, like the unlock password in case you use Touch ID.
The "CloudManager Service" key is used to store data relating to the pwSafe Cloud service. This key is consulted to determine if you make use of the pwSafe Cloud or not.
