How do I open a safe as read only?

On macOS, just enable the "Read only" option in the dialog when you unlock a safe

The iOS app does not offer this option on unlocking a safe. Please submit a new feature request if this is important to you.

Note that you can protect/unprotect any entry on both iOS and macOS by tapping the lock icon at the bottom which will prevent any changes to that entry.
