How do I change the Default Username?

When you create a new entry in a safe, the username field will be filled with the Default Username configured for the safe. You can configure a different Default Username for every safe (to differentiate between private and work for instance).

Note that the Default Username is sometimes also referred to as Default Email, since most services nowadays use your email address as username.

You can configure the Default Username using the steps listed below.

iPhone / iPad

• Unlock your safe
• Tap the settings icon (gear) at the bottom of the screen
• Locate the Default Username setting and change it
• Tap the Done button

Mac

• Unlock your safe, verify that the Readonly option is deselected in the password dialog.
• Select Safe - Safe Settings... from the menu
• On the General tab, locate the Default Username setting and change it

Note: pwSafe for Mac version 10 and below provide the Default Username option in the Safe menu instead of the More Settings... dialog.
